Our client is seeking a Controller who will be responsible for managing accounting departments by ensuring accounting and financial functions are completed accurately and thoroughly in compliance with applicable accountable rules and laws. As well as providing information, primarily financial in nature, about all company activities that will assist management, its shareholders and other users in making educated economic decisions about the company’s future.


Working with CFO:

  • Participate in planning the objectives, method and resource of short and long range financial operations of the company
  • Lead the company’s budgeting and financial planning process
  • Drive the forecasting with PM’S, Business Development and the overhead budget
  • Mergers and Acquisitions financial due diligence

Managing Accounting Departments

  • Guides financial decisions and protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures
  • Responsible for month end closing process to include financial statement, account reconciliations, investment reporting billing accruals, and review and preparation of WIP schedule.
  • Monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to external entities (includes all compliance reporting)
  • Responsible for timely preparation and filing of state and federal payroll taxes, gross receipts and sales/use taxes, 401(k) reports, annual reports and licensing requirements.
  • Manage and develop accounting and payroll staff (includes hiring, firing, developing)
  • Ensures annual review of shop assets

Individual Task Responsibilities

  • Primary lead for annual auditing process, including remediation
  • Manages the stock program (loans, payments interest and dividends)
  • Manages corporate insurance and benefit payment processes
  • Analysis of job costs- identify problem areas and possible solutions
  • Primary contact for banking relationships, including credit card administration, wire transfer approval, check management and review

  • IT skills- ability to keep up to date with new concepts, techniques, tools, and technologies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Related Subject
  • CPA
  • 5+ years management/supervisory experience
  • 10+ years practical work experience
  • Progressive and well-rounded experience in the medical or related project oriented field
  • Oversight of A/P, A/R, and payroll
