This position is responsible for managing and directing all activities to ensure compliance with safety policies and CBF guidelines, while meeting the AOP commitments made annually.
Duties:
• Ensuring that the plant meets manufacturing goals and objectives;
• Developing manufacturing business plan to meet production goals and objectives;
• Improve utilization of Capitol (EVA);
• Developing programs to reduce costs;
• Maintaining high level of employee involvement and satisfaction;
• Develop and implementation of quality programs to reduce scrap and zero defects in the workplace;
• Directing and implementing production scheduling plans to meet customer demands;
• Work with Technology on new product developments and introductions;
• Implementation of World Class Manufacturing Programs;
• Systems development to support manufacturing;
• Employee communications;
• Development of operation budget;
• Improve utilization of Capital to produce products;
• Capacity planning and utilization of people and equipment to reduce costs and increase output of product through the plant;
• Participate in forward planning meetings to forecast new business opportunities for the site;
• Plant security;
Qualifications: Must be an excellent communicator, facilitator and coach, as well as possess strong analytical abilities. Excellent interpersonal skills; good with people; able to manage and motivate people in the workplace; good understanding of business financials; able to understand technical and business applications; able to work long hours at a high rate of performance; self starter; able to travel; flexible thinker; open to new practices and techniques; understanding of modern manufacturing techniques; able to work in a team based organization; effective leadership skills; good business planning and execution skills; able to establish high performance standards and consistently meet those standards.
Minimum of 7-10 years of progressively responsible work experience in a manufacturing organization with knowledge and understanding of materials; scheduling; quality; manufacturing engineering; and operations functions; heavy experience in metal stamping is required; experience in stamping tooling. Have a proven track record as a production manager.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Administration is required. A Master's degree in Business or Engineering is highly desirable (or equivalent combination of training and work experience along with BA/BS).
