Description
- Interpret and apply current U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and concepts to business operations and transactions
- Oversee the accounting processes and general ledger for the Company's business units
- Provide assistance to assigned locations and HQ departments to compile and interpret financial results and measurements
- Ensure that transactions are appropriately reflected in the Company's books and records and adequate documentation and support is maintained
- Reconcile, analyze and provide support for general ledger accounts; ensure that ledger balances and activity are accurate and in accordance with GAAP
- Analyze financial results for subsidiaries, business units and/or individual locations and HQ departments; monitor trends, identify issues and proactively provide suggestions for performance improvement
- Develop models, maintain metrics and prepare reports to assist management in evaluating operational effectiveness
- Assist with preparing budgets and forecasts; monitor variances to plan, identify issues and assist with development of corrective actions
- Assist in the compilation of data for external audits

- Bachelor degree in accounting or related business field
- Minimum of 6 years of corporate accounting experience in a mid to large business at the corporate or divisional level or 4-6 years of public accounting experience required. CPA preferred
